We respect our King; know the culture and ways of the Kings so total silence up to a well prepared grand introduction of the Price would then have been the right way to go. Short of that if the King had anything to say the first thing would have been asking for forgiveness from the Church where he got married for that’s the public promise he broke.
Now threatening the people is taking it to another level, that worked in the past when the people depended on the King and I explained this before. It recreates a reign of fear within the kingdom it makes the Kingdom the untouchables.

But one has to ask a very simple question, who is Buganda? Buganda is not the King or the Lukiko and its Katikiro neither is it the 9,000 sq acres of land or the Kasubi tombs. Kings die, so does the katikiro and they are all replaceable. Buganda is its people. That’s why the definition of a Muganda is very crucial and the numbers are very crucial too.
Pride makes the people stick together and stand as one, give them something to be proud of because in this generation thats all Buganda can offer. There is no more land to give, or anything else substantial. So the Kingdom should do all it can to keep its people happy not just threatening them because the royalty that the past Kings enjoyed is currently only skin deep or worse still easily dissolved by monies.
We love our King, we love our Queen and all the royals, be what you are, royals and we will equally respect you, threats are things of the past, may be Buganda needs a Facebook generational Katikiro now.
The older men get the more they say that the difference in age doesn’t matter. Medically women above a certain age have an increased risk of giving birth to children with some defect, you have to consider the fact that at birth a girl has the eggs she will ever need in life, for every menstrual cycle a different ovary releases one egg. So a lady at 24 years has been carrying her eggs for 24 yrs. and one at 40 years has been carrying hers that long too. So you figure considering the fact that the longer you carry them the more they are exposed to factors that can affect their genes.

Dr. Here we are not after threats! The katikkiro is very clear, each family has issues that may not easily be disclosed! There is need for some respect, despite being of the facebook generation! Of that happens or is happening now, we need to keep one thing in mind, our customs and traditions have done a lot to see us as we are now. So if the Katikkiro comes out with the statement formal as this, showing Buganda’s stand, why not comply?
The only problem I see now is that we baganda have been disturbed, not because the Kabaka has not yet shown us the mother of the prince, not even for the fact that the prince was born outside the wedlock! The only problem are those who seek their own ends. We were still jubilating, waiting patiently for the official presentation of the mother and visiongroup comes with its lies….
One thing, Kabaka deserves his respect and so whether buganda is “us”, the king has privacy also. Let us wait! Here there is not even a single threat, otherwise if it were matter of utilizing opportunities to gain….
All this bra-ha-ha about the Kabaka and his son is redundancy at its best!!! Idle minds discuss………………. Let the Kabaka and his siblings be what they are. Wedlock or no is not an issue for all this!!!
But why should a national news paper publish lies? The Katikiro is right, they are desperate for sales on the expense of Buganda

How the hell does this help in this very sad situation and what exactly does it state? Will the name of this Muzaana get released at a Mengo appropriate time, or it takes more than now 8 months to finish the “details” and reach a point of introducing her, or she will never be introduced? What prince and princes of Ssabassajja or passed Ssekabakas that we do not know the Omuzaana? Is Katikiro stating that Ssabassajja has children we do not know about? If it takes a time to name the Omuzaana why did the names of SsangaLyambogo and Nabagereka get out the same day, yet Mengo has a crisis to do it on this Omuzaana? And is Katikiro now threatening Obuganda with shutting Mengo down from giving out information, or he has arrived at a position where there are many known un known’s that he knows he does not know, and if he knows the unknowns he will tell us? Geez one wonders who advises these people for this is not a document I would have realized and especially not to day. A very reason I am not the Katikiro I guess. Omukulu Ssemuwemba can you kindly translate this document into English for it is important that people read it. No if I translate it every one is going to yell biasness, it is even strange that it has been sitting in UAH for now almost 6 hours and no one has commented on it. I guess we have reached that point huh !!!!!!
And Mengo needs to start to produce official documents into the Uganda official language. That is common sense.
Many weeks ago I think it was Nyar’Onyango who explained to members of UAH that Baganda must stop to reason that this is a Buganda issue for when problems come into Buganda every one stands up and support Buganda. When you look closely at the discussion about Ssemakokiro, the people that actually praised that birth first were non Baganda, the people I see burning their behinds in defense of Buganda as Isaac Balamu are not Baganda, when Katikiro writes a statement in Luganda for it is only intended for Baganda, he has just called every single member of this forum who is not a Muganda, that praised the birth of Ssemakokiro stupid. And any leader in any organization that wants a message to get through, uses all available means and to communicate in Uganda you need the English language that is commonsense.
But there is another issue as well, if Katikiro preferred to use Luganda, it must disturb every critical thinker why he decided to translate the word “speculation” One can translate that to mean that the purpose of his document was exactly that, to stop speculations, and since he was addressing only Baganda, Engineer J B Walusimbi decided to translate that word for he was targeting non Baganda. Or you explain to me if he finds the English language offensive and he was only addressing Kabaka’s subjects that understand Luganda, why he translated that one single direct verb. And I continue to wonder his addressing the Baganda subjects, Is Katikiro stating that in Luganda language there is no word meaning “Engineer”? Why didn’t he use the Luganda word now that he was addressing only “the Kabaka’s subjects”? You see we can only do things in one way, we either use a communicable language so that we are understood, thus writing in both languages, Luganda and English the Official language of Uganda, but we cannot mix the two. But I might as well be wrong on that as well for Katikiro might actually just loved to send a message to us that are reading his document that we must remember that he is an Engineer whereas we are not so we better shut up. And then he looks exactly like that Ugandan we always fly with in middle of the 10 seating passengers in an air bus line, who always has a three piece suit for he is flying to Bulaya.
And we all have travelled with that Ugandan and he is present on every flight. You have seen him and I have seen him.
Through this statement, Katikiro has just drafted a true sense that is in Mengo, they are operating from a “us Vs them” basis. I repeat my question, does Mengo own an advisor? For example before this statement was made public, did they refer it to an independent advisor? Way back I think about 5 or so years ago, I advised Mengo to get an advisor and a paid full time advisor. Katikiro is threatening people when he has no single political power, I mean we are going to stop issuing statements, big deal shut it down you think we really care? Some of us have been actually alive since the Kingdom was shut down any ways !!!
This statement does not do good to anyone.
So in Buganda culture we only worry about a child not who is the mother? Is that the new world order or Mengo is telling us that women are simply tools used as baby factories? Which one is which? What is going out of proportion is the silliness being pumped out of Mengo, and am not going to go after what you have written, but here is the latest one. Katikiro said that there is no other Muzaana that we are asking for except this one. So to him he is telling you that Ssabassajja has had other kids but no one is going after their mothers to know the names. Well that is a great argument but it is a hollow argument, for those kids have never been introduced by a Katikiro to Buganda, Ssemakokiro was introduced to Buganda by Katikiro. Do you get the difference, better yet can you?

I am going to go after this statement again for it is really very disturbing. You see when Katikiro releases these documents in Luganda only, and if the thinking behind it is as Mukulu Mayega Ssebulime interprets it, then this Kingdom is abandoning a whole generation of even Baganda. And that generation is the generation of our kids we have in these countries, and these are way too many children. As much as we have immigrated to these counties so has the numbers of children exploded. But there is another matter as well, as these children grow up in these countries, they find the Kingdom of Buganda fascinating, and it is fascinating for to them they don’t care if you are a Muganda a Mululu or a Kupsabiny, to these kids you are a Ugandan that is it. So you have even non Baganda kids fascinated into the Kingdom structure we have in our country. Yes we have tried to teach these kids Luganda but they cannot reach a point of reading it and understanding it especially when it reaches a point of critical matters as the document Katikiro wrote yesterday. I sit on a computer with my daughter and she understands Luganda that is not the problem, I can talk to her in Luganda and she will respond in both English and Luganda mixed, she can read some Luganda but last week she asked me the meaning of the word Omulangira, what does that mean? So they understand Luganda that much and that bad.
It is very strange that Mengo does not understand the importance of investing into these kids for these are the future Baganda you want it or you do not. Katikiro should have been smart enough to at minimum realize that Ugandans in Diaspora are not only good for the dollars they pour in Mengo but they are also good for they are parents and those children are a part of Buganda. The moment you start to reason as a freight train that we must leave every document in Luganda for when you don’t understand Luganda you are not a Kabaka’s subject, then one starts to wonder how much Luganda Kabaka’s own children speak. And Uganda has not been fair, Ssabassajja was in UK, so are/were some of his kids, and surely he should have understood the life calamities of being in Diaspora for it is not news for him, can he actually cut out every Muganda child we have in Diaspora, for he or she does not read Luganda? It is such a shallow mind set as Israel Kintu own these days.
But may be Mengo is way more screwed than I ever thought, just may be !!!!

Mengo does not have to bend over backwards to keep the landless happy in order to survive , because there are enough people ‘who received land’ who support the Kingdom

“There is no more land to give……”
That is a statement based on the historical leadership of the Buganda Kingdom. Check out how the past Kabaka’s favored and how he controlled the bakopi. Some were promoted, others were demoted and others shipped to heaven or hell. It used to be that the Kabaka could acquire more land through invasions of neighboring territories and there were several prizes that could be given for those favored by the King. Not I kept the punishments to those who were not favored as a secret, no need to mention how far some past Kings of Buganda went to remain powerful and extract obedience from the bakopi, all I can say that some past Kings make former President Idi Amin (R.I.P) look like a Saint, at least as far as the historians tell us.
So there is no need for Buganda or our King to tap on anyone’s bottoms, and we all don’t need Land titles to love our Kingdom and King, but on the other side there is no need to threaten your people, just be a peoples King and they will do anything for you. Accept the apology and just encourage them to dig deep for the truth before they write any other story.

Twakoowa okutusirisa! I am a muganda but personally not happy about the way the prince’s mom is being treated. Kabaka should have considered the fact that times have changed. Wama media go on….set the agenda!
The only mistake newvision made was to publish a wrong pic the verbage was all correct no one is disputing that, of which they later apologized and replaced it with the correct one, ok,, the first one was horrendous the replacement was just an embarrassment beyond words!!! blended with disbelief that the King can lay with such a ‘hoodrat’. I believe that is what is most disturbing about this scandal, because it show how much the Kabaka VALUES his life in the day and age. what he is doing is no defferent from his fore fathers. So
