Dear Congress Leaders,
We have reliable information to the effect that Pulkol/Museveni Youth group plans to invade and occupy Uganda HOUSE 6 Floor Party HQTS inorder to restore Major Rurangaranga and John Odit in their respective offices.
I would urge the Youth that the main application of that case has not yet been heard and judgement passed. The hearing is schedule for 7/February/2o12,therefore no-one has been restored to his office. We are still waiting for the interpretation of article 26 on the transitional provisions from the courts.
The Youth should observe Law and Order since we are in Court and refrain from acting unlawfully.
Those who care to advise them-please do so.We should wait for the due process of the law to take its natural course and act within the Constitutional frame work of UPC.
Attached below is the copy of the Uganda Gazette Vol. CV No.02 dated 13th January 2012 APPROVING THE 2008 UPC CONSTITUTION. It was approved on the 3rd January 2012 BUT came into force on 13th /January/2012 under the general notice NO 21 OF 2012 ON PAGE TWO OF THE ATTACHMENT.
All the actions taken by the Party President was done under the 1970 Constitution. Therefore, NO CASE.
We appeal to the PULKOL/MUSEVENI group to embrace Reconciliation, Dialogue and Forgiveness so that we build a united Party as we prepare for 2016 general elections.
Thanks
Aroma Patrick
UPC National Youth Leader
